Anastrozole, also known as Arimidex, is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibiting drug (abbreviated as AI) developed by Zeneca Pharmaceuticals in 1995. Initially intended for treating breast cancer post-surgery and metastasis in women, Anastrozole is utilized to hinder estrogen synthesis.
